The Society of the Spectacle was a Marxist work by Guy Debord from 1967 in which he imagined a future society without substance, only spectacles.
Here, as an experiment in graphic. design and typography, I've reimagined select quotes from Debord's work as posters.
In the final design, I selected a muted off-white tone, monospaced type and strong diagonal lines to make the poster feel old and like a piece of propoganda.
In this earlier revision, I used strong colors like red and yellow to give the poster a loud tone, mirroring the idea of the spectacle.
